Hello all,

I just became more elligible for the Thunder Road enduro this year by acquiring a car. I settled at the top of my budget because the car was sorta irresistable given the local alternatives... However, it came w/ some snow tires. I have two sets of steel wheels for it, but no decent tires. It would save me a good amount of stress & $'s if anyone here happened to have some 1/2-way decent 14" tires they'd be happier to see drive around Thunder Road then to sit in their garage/shed/basement.

I'd be elated if someone said, "I appreciate your cause, you can have these"... but I could pay a little if someone insists, and the tires are what I hope for.

I guess worst case I'll order some.

The event is in a couple of weeks, (Aug 8th), so I'll need to order some if I don't hear from anyone relatively soon.

Thanks in advance for your potential generosity!
Jeff

Nevermind.

I pulled the chute & ordered some of the cheapest 195x60R14's on TireRack. They'll have to do.

Thanks for your consideration.

Anyone else gonna roll the dice @ the road of Thunder this year? I do believe this is the most fun car event that I have tried, ever, all things considered.

I hope you dance.

If I had some tires I would be happy to give you a set. All I have are some slightly abused 17s. Ok they are really abused but would have worked great for what you are doing.

If I didnt have to rebuild the motor in the STI this year I would probably have attempted this.

Thanks Nick.

Try this once, and you'll find it irresistable. It's a joke, but a very, very good joke. I'm so looking forward to it. Hopefully you don't need to rebuild the motor again next year, ... and can try this before the lawyers figure out it still happens.
