Seth,
Let's say the deadline for submissions as December 11, 2006. I'd like to have it "on the street" for Christmas.

I could really use an article on SLMP, if anyone who participated would like to write one. :D

Downshifts is supposed to be out before the December meeting so people can see the nominations (per the by-laws).

BUT.... we don't mail the DS out anymore and it is only available online, the same place as the website/forums (go figure!). It seems that we need to look at our 1979 by-laws and re-write them for 2006 and beyond to accept some obvious technology and process changes.

To me, and everyone please give your input, the nominations do not need to be in the Downshifts because it is not value added.

Thoughts?

This would also give Eric more time to get together the last DS of 2006.

Personally, I don't think that the nominations "need" to be in Downshifts, we could always make nominations due NLT the first week of December, and posted to the website right after. Then we could still vote on them at the December monthly meeting... Just a thought..

I would have to agree that the By-laws need some updating. They have not been reviewed/updated since before some of our membership was born...

Right Nick...
