Drivers & Vehicles Wanted! It's Parade Time!

Post by MX5 Driver »

Folks,
The SCCV has been asked if we would like to provide some cool cars for the 4th of July Parade in Fairfax, VT this year.

The club did this in Williston a few years back and a good time was had by all.

Parade Details:
When: Wednesday July 4th @ 12pm
Start: St. Luke's Church in Fairfax.
Finish: Fairfax Recreational Park
Distance: ~2 miles

This is a good PR opportunity for the club.
If you are interested in joining in let me know!

Julie and I are in (one car).

(make sure to bring your SCCV number plate and stuff to make your car shine once you get to the parade... I think Jim brought some stuff last year that everyone took advantage of... good thinking)

Pink Curiser?

I think we would drive the Golf as it has the flag on the roof.

Any one else? The Golf is cool and all, but do we really want a VW solely representing us??

Aren't you driving your Miata?

Julie could drive her WRX. I would have to lower it by then to make it look cool. :)

Yes, the plan is to be there with the Miata as well, but I was hoping for more than two cars..
Plus, I have to figure out how to get the car seat into the Miata since Ros will be at work...

Maybe I'll have to get a keg of Switchback at the house for the after party.... :drinkers:

Now do you understand why I had to swap out the Miata?! I have fit a booster in the Miata, but not a booster & a car seat together!

I'd probably be interested in this, don't think I'll really have anything going on that early in the day

So we really only have 3 maybe 4 people showing up with cars? Should we even bother with that few cars?
