Stopped by the course about 30 minutes ago. A nice icy shine. \:D/

These should be thumbnails you can click for the bigger pictures. Pictures don't do it justice. When you arrive at the site, take the entrance south of the Kenyons sign, follow the road back and go to the "VAST" snowmobile parking. Park near the snow banks closest to the course.

Sorry Dave to hear that your Miata is shut out by our liability-based paranoia. We should have been clear about that from the get-go. If you still want to come, we could probably find you a car. Let me know if you're interested.
Also, if you have a special requirement as far as time goes (need to leave early, etc) let me know now for the smoothest execution on event day.
We need 4 people to work timing. This is an important job that requires concentration but rewards with the best view in the house from a warm vehicle. 2 must be somewhat experienced in general motorsport, to just need to be able to run a stopwatch.

I'll save my gas for another day. Thanks though. The plan is to install a custom roll bar and side extensions between winter and autox season. Gotta order the dies for my tubing bender first.

Current conditions:

I just went to drop our insurance to the land owner. I took a look at the field and took a quick walk on the course. It's quite nice, very slick......I should have brought my skates

Seriously bring sunglasses, if we get sun, there is serious glare from the ice. The pit area is also ice, so if you are trailering, keep that in mind, stopping distances are quite a bit longer.
Also remember appropriate foot wear for driving and for walking around on snow and ice.

I would like to do timing for both days. Also if we end up short on volunteers I can probably swing double duty and be worker coordinator as well.
