STOWE 4/29/12 autox, short notice

Post by sachilles »

Ok boys and girls, this isn't a done deal yet, since it's only 10 days away, we want to make you aware of it.

I'd say it is about 60% likely at this point.

Long story short, we approached Stowe about an event, while there is down time between ski season and summer wedding season. That gives us a very small window of time.
Weather on the long range forecast looks clear.

So look to make arrangement to have Sunday 4/29 free. We'll need all your help to pull this off.
For those of you not with the club the last time we had an event there, this is the lot.

Keep your fingers crossed that the resort can make this happen for us.

Again this is not a guaranteed event at this point, so stay tuned. :drive1:

Best way for folks to help is to spread the word to anyone who might be inclined to come to the event, time is in short supply. Reach out to those friends that aren't online much.
Please and thank you. \:D/

Last year a roll over protection rule was adopted, it was my understanding that this was mainly due to the higher risk nature of Devil's Bowl vs. a flat parking lot. Is this rule in effect for all SCCV AutoX events? Not sure the Cougar will be ready in time, but I'd like to drive the Corvette (convertible), if possible. Figured it was worth asking since this is an event on a flat parking lot, but totally understand if the roll over rule has become a rule regardless of event location.

Thanks,

The rollbar rule is only for Devil's Bowl autox and SLMP.

Heard back from Stowe. I'd say we are 80% likely at this point.

Stowe was the whole reason I bought used Hoosiers for the Vette! Hope this happens.
