SCCV: Autocross #1 (May 24, 2014) - Devil's Bowl

Post by BugEyeRex »

First Autocross of 2014!

May 24, 2014 at 8:00am at Devils Bowl Speedway 2743 Route 22A West Haven.

Registration will be onsite for this event. Bring cash/check to the event.

We need your help to make these autocrosses happen. We need some new faces to help run the events. Some of the regulars may be missing this year. So if we want the events, WE have to make them happen.

For the fourth autocross we need the following:
Chair- Paul D
Co- Ricky
Registrar-
asst Registrar-

Tech inspector 1-
Tech inspector 2-

Worker coordinator 1-
Worker coordinator 2

If you can do one of these tasks, please post in this thread.

Price is $40 member $50 nonmember.

Spread the word. Get your car ready. New comers start asking your questions....you know you are curious about something.

Make sure your battery is secured. You need a M or SA 2000 rated helmet or newer. IT MUST HAVE the foil snell sticker. Looks like this http://www.smf.org/images/decals/sa05dec.jpg

Usually the sticker can be found inside the helmet under the padding somewhere. If it isn't bolted down inside your car, take it out. Make sure you have no loose suspension bits(grab each of your four wheels) and shake it in every direction possible, there should be no play. It's easier to check with the wheel jacked in the air.

I will be there!
I'm happy to ch-chair.
Ricky, of course, will still have the honor of course design.

Thanks Paul. I should have looked at a calendar before I said yes. I am bummed I will miss Ricky's course design.

They paved the little oval that runs parallel to the front straight!

First event, the kart pavement and pit pavement are not available for the course. It is being discussed with the track, so keep your fingers crossed.

Interesting. Hope it works out. That would really help that venue with course options.

Still using motorsportreg.com for registration? I don't see any SCCV autocross events on the calendar.
