SCCV Auto - X #3 at Airbourne speedway Jul 26th

Post by ricker96 »

AUTO-X #3, sunday July 26th at Airbourne Speedway

Registration will be onsite for this event. Bring cash/check to the event.

We need your help to make these autocrosses happen. We need some new faces to help run the events. Some of the regulars may be missing this year. So if we want the events, WE have to make them happen.
We also need big turnouts to make the events possible in the future, without people competing at events the club cannot afford to pay for the venue we all get to compete at!

For Auto-x #3 we need the following:
Chair- Ricky G
Co-
Registrar-
asst Registrar-

Tech inspector 1-
Tech inspector 2-

Worker coordinator 1-
Worker coordinator 2

If you can do one of these tasks, please post in this thread.

Price is $40 member $50 nonmember.

Spread the word. Get your car ready. New comers start asking your questions....you know you are curious about something.

Make sure your battery is secured. You need a M or SA 2000 rated helmet or newer. IT MUST HAVE the foil snell sticker. Looks like this:

Usually the sticker can be found inside the helmet under the padding somewhere.

If it isn't bolted down inside your car, take it out. Make sure you have no loose suspension bits(grab each of your four wheels) and shake it in every direction possible, there should be no play. It's easier to check with the wheel jacked in the air.

Please put me wherever you need me Ricky. I'd like to learn timing if possible.

I think we can get you into working timing, it's not hard just confusing at times working with the old laptop, and old program, but we'll get you up to speed with it!

Had a great time today, weather was perfect, 20 people came out to support the SCCV auto-x, and made a few new friends too!

Hope we get more competitors for the next auto-x, the club really needs participation to increase if we want to continue to put on these awesome events!
So please get the words out to all your friends that sccv holds these events so we can grow our car community!

Nice photos. While similar to Devil's Bowl this place is better IMO. The course layout was fun. Is there a way to start with an easier blend onto the track without launching over the edge and down?
