Okemo I 2009

Post by Rabbit Farmer »

Entry has been posted to the NEHA website at www.hillclimb.org

Need an SA2000 helmet (good until the 2010's come out)?

http://www.hillclimb.org/forum/viewtopi ... 0&start=10
I have a medium and a large white SA2000 Bell M2 with dark gray tinted shields and carry bags. The medium is almost unused (my wifes) and the large is in good shape but well used. I would let the large go for $50 and the medium for $75 if anyone wants a good helmet and cost effective way to get them to the release of the SA2010 models. I will bring them to Okemo.

I'll finally get to see what the car does in that staight. Last time there with the Golf, it was running like crap (same event that the engine was smoking and finally died) and Nick (passenger during a very mild FAM run) said we were doing 100 mph.

Even my 3,200 lb. battleship last year, down on power due to unknowingly having a loose knock sensor, was cresting 90mph at the end of that straight, not that you're really wanting to look down at the speedo at that point.

Going to miss Okemo I due to Lemons but I fully plan on being at Okemo II.

I NA Rabbit topped out around 80 mph..... seems so slow.

Jim: Make sure to get a lot of in-car and out of car video at Lemons!

I was going to spend some time figuring out why the turbo Rabbit isn't running right, but I wanted to see what the Golf will do there (first time there with the current setup).

I tried to do a continuity test with each sparkplug wire but none of them made a connection with my cheapy volt meter. I'm guessing that the watch battery powered volt meter had a problem communicating down a 2.5 foot long 8mm wire. I really want to get this thing running again to bring it to Burke II and perhaps Okemo II depending on how the Golf is doing. I'm the only one in my class so it doesn't matter how slow or fast I am; this means that I get to play around this year instead of taking it too seriously (like that could ever happen).
