Ascutney Hill climb May 19-20 2012

Post by sachilles »

Just a reminder that this hill climb is coming up next weekend. If you ever thought of trying out a climb, a great way to scope it out is by working a check point at one. Workers meeting starts at 7am daily and you do not need prior experience to work a check point. Bring bug spray, a camp chair, and try to avoid red clothing if you can. You may also want to bring some snacks/drinks for the hill, however lunch is provided.
Hope to see you there.

I am driving the Jetta... or the Daewoo. I haven't reached out to Don regarding the Daewoo, so it might be the Jetta. Julie is driving also. :drinkers:

I'm planning to attend as a worker this time. The RX7 is "ready" but my counterpart has other obligations and I don't want to blow it up without him :-( We'll be at Devil's bowl AutoX I and SLMP the next weekends though!!

When should I arrive and what should I bring?

I answered over on hillclimb.org, but in case someone else sees this here, I figured it would help them to post it here too.

Bring a chair to sit in, and clothing to be on the hill. Maybe a light cooler with snacks and a drink. Bug spray and sunscreen. Avoid red clothing or red chair.
Workers meeting is typically around 7 or so daily. They usually have you sign up at the Burden's RV in the campground(Waiver, corner assignment etc).
Lunch is provided to workers.
