Burke Hill Climb 6/7-9

Post by BugEyeRex »

How many times are you going to drive a mountain road and wish you can go faster than the speed limit, hope for no bikers or pedestrians, and wish you could use the whole road for that tight corner? You need to try a hill climb. Our sister club Killington Sports Car Club is hosting a hill climb at Burke Mountain next weekend. They are looking for entrants and volunteers! There are quite a few SCCV members that participate in hill climbs so do not be shy about asking questions!

Volunteers get fed lunch and enjoy liquid libations after the hill is closed. Drivers get fed also but they get to drive a fun twisting steep road. You do not have to be competitive, just willing to have fun!

More on hill climbing at http://www.hillclimb.org

More info about the event at http://www.hillclimb.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=940

Here's a view of the road. Remember that wide angle makes the turns appear less sharp.

Funny. Peer pressure! Nothing says you have to be faster than a spirited drive up the hill!

Really bummed I'm going to miss this, but had to pull out because of my back... My campsite is paid for. So if there is anyone that can use it, please do.
