I took Friday and Monday off. Planning to leave before dawn on Friday. Who else is coming for practice on Friday? I'm open to suggestions of anything we can do to make the event more fun, efficient, or even safe. Two cars seemed to work well in the recent past, so that will be the plan of attack.
My big upgrade since the last trip is a seven letter word that rhymes with Hoosier. Also upgraded to a cooler air intake. And new poly bushings.
Did anyone else know that Larson's Rabbit is now running 20psi?

20 psi! HAHAHA  Last time I rode in the Rabbit, it was around 7 or 8. I can't iimagine what 20 psi is like now. There is no way I can catch you or Larson at SLMP. Maybe I need a turbo :D .

What would make it interesting is to run SLMP backwards. :D The biggest issue with that is to get the cars away from the chicane. If we parked the cars in the actual pits area (pavement rather than grass) there might be enough room to put the cars in a safe area. For example, keep the cars on the other side of the timing tent and move the tent a little closer to the chicane by about 50 feet.

I plan on being there Friday around lunch time for some practice. There will be others showing up around the same time too.

Two cars at a time works for me.

We've discussed running reverse a few times. The big issue we run into is the run off room in the back corner. If you lose it there going the reverse direction, it could have dire consequences.

During one of the events last year, after the track had 'cleared' on a Saturday (iirc), I took a couple of modest laps in the opposite direction - modest because coming through the 'chicane' all I could see in my extended vision was, not the cars, but the tents  ...

+1 on what Seth wrote, x2 (places) - include coming down the front straight into that (would be) left 90, have even a minor brake or traction issue and them rocks at the bottom of the hill are suddenly a lot closer...

Seth and Dave, I agree with both of you that the reverse direction would be more risky. I guess I was thinking of treating SLMP like any track with walls or trees. For obvious reasons, drivers would have to be a little more conservative with their driving. Just throwing the idea out there. I figured you guys have already thought of it or tried it.

I'd love to, but I need to wait for Ashlee to get out of school before I can leave (since she's coming with me). Time to get her addicted, even though I have reservations since it's already too expensive with just me racing the little that I do. I can't imagine two of us racing.
