Important notice to people leaving early today (or may already be on the way):
There was a triple fatal accident on Rt. 37 just east of Ogdensburg about two hours ago (head on), and Rt. 37 is currently closed.
Will try post updates as I get them.

May be wise to drive extra carefully through there as I'm certain the NYST are going to be on their toes for the next couple of days...

See you's Saturday!

Is anyone else already over there / heading up tonight? I'll be in town around 7, dropping the trailer off at the track, and then looking for dinner if anyone wants to join.

I'm sure there will be a video/pictures thread, but until that's up, here's some teasers:

So how'd the event go? The pictures show some new cars, no idea if there are new faces with them, or old familiar ones. Weather cooperate? Track condition?

Weather couldn't have been better - clear skies and mid 70's the whole weekend. Even a slight breeze to keep the bugs somewhat under control.

Track conditions were a bit iffy though - the surface is really starting to break up. In particular there was a large pothole right where most people wanted to put their left wheels at the turn in for the third apex of the "chicane" (you can see Leo straddle it at 0:22 in the second video I posted). Worse than the pothole itself though was the gravel that kept depositing on the track from it.

Yes, but I wasn't paying enough attention to the times to know exactly who. I want to say there was 6 or 7 cars total that were either sub 60 or very near to 60 seconds.

Once I put on the wide sticky rubber I managed some sub 60 times \:D/ Howie is fast. Well driven I see times in the 57s being possible, maybe even 56s. :3gears:
