I am happy to announce our first track event of the racing season! SCCV will host a time-trial track weekend at SLMP on May 22-24 2015.
For those not familiar with SLMP, it is a ¾ mile road course built for shifter-cart racing. We have used it for many years as a time-trial track. You will get a ton of seat-time, and a guaranteed smile on your face…
There is free on-site camping and affordable lodging available fairly close. Most people arrive on Friday night to settle in for the weekend.
The pricing will remain the same as last year:
2 Day member: $125
2 Day non-member: $135
1 Day member: $65
1 Day non-member: $75
For open cars - A roll bar which extends above the driver's head (with helmet on) when seated in the driving position is REQUIRED. No exceptions! If you have any question about your car please contact one of SCCV board members. This is for YOUR safety!
If you are not familiar with the “Tire Rule,” please check out this link:
http://sccv.org/cms/index.php?page=Track
We will extend member registration rate to CMC, SCCNH and KSSC members.
There will be a maximum of 25 spots available, and a minimum of 16 to run the event. There are 22 openings for 2-day registration, and 3 openings each day for 1-Day registrations.
In the event we reach our cap of 22 1 two day drivers, an entrant may combine two 1-day entries to fill each of the remaining spots until we reach our cap of 25 entrants. In the event that we reach our cap, we will establish a waiting
There's two ways to register for slmp #1, use the link below for motorsport reg or register at the slmp #1 and pay cash or check at the event.

Camping on site is welcomed.
Plenty of room on site for camping, most competitors will be camping.
If arriving friday afternoon we start tech inspection on any cars arriving, and Saturday morning we have conclusion of tech inspection, 8am register those arriving early saturday and check in those that registered online, drivers meeting around 8:30, course walk 9 and first car off at 9:30 or so (fingers crossed) time table may change depending on total entries. Start Time may be earlier if needed.
SLMP pretty much runs like a large auto-x, except you run 3 consecutive laps instead of 1 like a normal auto-x, you get a total of 5 laps, 1 warm-up lap, 3 timed laps and 1 cool-down lap
We'll explain exactly how it works in the morning drivers meeting.
