CMC Loring 2011 Autocross - Registration Open

Post by saabman »

CMC's second annual Loring Mega A/X is taking place the weekend of Aug 20/21. This is an autocross like no other. Last year our Sunday course stretched for 1.5 miles and featured a mix of aspalt and concrete, as well as elevation changes. The fast cars completed in 90 seconds. Do the math, this was a fast a/x course.

Camping is available on site (free). There are no hookups or water available on-site. Hotels in Caribou and Presque Isle offer greater comfort (although 40 people camped last year, tents and motorhomes).

Registration is open, visit CMC home page (http://www.cumberlandmotorclub.com) to find the link

Yup, I know it is a stretch but it is hard to describe just how big the place is. To give you a sense, this is Mark Chesicks FP S2000 on our North course in 2010

Anything with AFB in the name has got to be huge. Wow.... what is the policy/rule on convertibles with street tires?

Convertables welcome. Despite the large expanse of pavement, this is run as an Autocross not a SOLO 1 event. There are plenty of Miatas that will be running, most without bars.

SCCV members enjoy CMC member rates at this event.
