Need a good Upholstery shop

Post by ryed »

I just got a set of used Lotue Elise seats for my Miata, as well as a kit to modify them for a 5-point harness. Does anyone know of a good upholstery shop? The kit comes with detailed instructions, but I'd rather make sure it's done right . . .

There aren't alot of those around, but when I worked for Heritage Ford, we used a guy in South Burlington. He does really nice work. He is located on Swift Street, across from the jail. I can't think of the name of his shop, but I'm sure someone knows who I am talking about... :D

Is that the guy who does body work (also)? Shop behind his house?

Talk to Paul Dudley, there is a guy in Richmond Vt that does very good work, and is relatively inexpensive. I guess he does mostly home furnishings, as the auto upholstry business in Vermont doesn't generate a ton of business. However, he has a very extensive auto background before moving up here.

Contact "Big D" on dubsnorth.org forums... he had someone do the seats on his Jetta; unsure if they were local or not.

Maybe "Couillard's"? (79 Swift St - 862-1543) - if it's the place I'm thinking of he did the body repair on my landlord's M-B, went w/ her to drop-off - did an awesome job on the bodywork...

I'll double check w/ her later today...

Nope, Krystyna, 'midnight' Blue '07 C-class (got sideswiped in front corner by a car at customs jockeying for a lane)...

And I did have the name of the place right...
