We are still very early on in the project, but the Miata will take another step towards completion this weekend. "Lily" makes her track debut at SLMP.

So far the modifications include:

Tokico Illumina 5 way adjustable shocks
Flyin Miata Springs
Larger 1.8L Miata Brakes
Boss Frog Roll Bar
Motegi Traklite Wheels (10 pounds)
Bridgestone RE-11 tires

Future modifications:

Flyin Miata Sway Bars
Flyin Miata Sway Bar Reinforcements

OEM Lip Spoiler
OEM Type R rear spoiler (loose the luggage rack)
AN exhaust of some sort...

Then we should be able to start thinking about motor mods....

So the real question is... Can a Mariner Blue Miata with a license plate of "LILYPAD" be "tough"??? :twisted:

Add a supercharger noise to it and then it could sound tough, and be tough. I think.

Nothing says "tough" like a miata that's been rolled 2x's, has numerous dents, faded paint, a black hood, and a dent from the inside out from the battery sliding around :lol:

I think that your's looks really good as it sits, but if you're going for total badassedness ($35,000 a year in tuition thank you very much) I'm a huge fan of sportcompactcar's time attack miata, and if I had enogh money to get radical with mine it's going in that direction

Shawn. Your Miata is definately TOUGH, but in a "Road Warrior" kind of way... :D Any vehicle that can survive YOU and JASON is TOUGH... :wink:

Needs a "my kid, beat up your honor student" type of sticker on it, then it would be tough. Maybe if you put the red sox plate cover back on it would look tough.
Its too clean to be tough.
With a different suspension it will become "Mean" but still won't be tough.

Shawn's miata looks "tough" but it certainly doesn't look Mean.

Tim/Ros' and Paul's look sexy.

Dennis' miata looks sleek.


I would say at this point, Lily is Cute. Not cute like, "hey that little kid in the Halloween costume is cute". More like "Hey, do you see that girl up by the bar? She's really cute."

Miata's aren't tough. Especially not one's with LILYPAD lic. plates heh


Looks good though, those tires kick donkey. I have them on my goat.
