Yeah, the ABS/TCS system can be problematic on the '92/'93 cars, does this car have traction control?

Rathe's used to have a few of those era 9000's....a used MC is a shot.

Rock Auto is having a closeout on Beck/Arnley Brake MC's for the Teves ABS System...they only have 2 left. $104 + shipping.

Best price so far. I'd rather go with that, than a salvage yard piece.
Thanks.

Hey thanks

I haven't had much chance to play with Baab, I did find that the brake master is fine, it appears that he is leaking brake fluid somewhere. Haven't had a chance to find where. It's either a leaky caliper or a busted line. I'm betting on a leaky caliper, as it will hold pressure and stop the car momentarily. I also don't hear the hiss of squirting fluid that you'd hear if a line is gone. The master is definitely pumping fluid, and it loses a little bit with every pump.
Got the climate control fixed with the help of the internet.....guess the computer just needed to be re-booted so to speak. Must be made by microsoft.
I believe I have the low speed fan thing sorted. In all it is working out to be a VERY nice beater. Perhaps I'll register/insure/inspect her.

Glad she's getting sorted out.

Those are really nice cars when they are all squared away.

seems like it. It's in great shape for it's age, so that says a lot for the original construction.
I just wish I had more time.
Wouldn't you know it, the first warm day I worked on it, a damn mosquito tried to bite me. There was still snow in my yard, mosquitoes should be sleeping.

I found the brake problem. The hard line rotted away immediately above the muffler. The rest of the line looks fine. I crimped behind the where the line was busted and was able to maintain pressure.
So it looks like if I replace the hard line the car will be streetable.
Not bad for a free car.

Well done!

:drinkers:

Back when I got my Subie, the fuel lines were rotted as they came under the passenger seat from the tank...coupla pipe cuts, bits of rubber (fuel) hose and some clamps fixed that right up!

I spent a while working on it yesterday. I got one line patched, generated some pressure, and then it was gone a can. Hard line to the other rear wheel sprung a leak.
Funny the lines are coated everywhere and look really good save for by the wheel areas where corrosion got the best of it. Another line to replace. This one will be a pain as the fuel filler neck is in the way.
I'm half tempted to just cap it and make sure all else is ok with the car before I put the time into it.
