Latest update:

Carb'd block has been torn down and sent to the shop. Seem's the previous owner neglected to inform me that the "newly rebuilt motor" had blown a head gasket. No worries as the cylinders will be bored out slightly as the hi-comp pistons are .020" over std. Bonus for me as sleeving is expensive.

Next to get is SCAT conrods, lightened flywheel, race clutch and pres. plate and they'll be all set to balance the whole rotating assy!

Another update. Engine is at a standstill due to a head gasket issue (need a custom thickness made). The crank and rotating mass has been balanced and journals polished. Here's a few pics:

And now for some gratuitous car pr0n:

I still have alot to go, but I am off this week and I'm knocking out the stuff that I can until the head gasket arrives.

More to come...

I agree Tim, looks like he blew the front engine. Good thing the new engine is going in the back. The DurFIAT doesn't have the same ring as Durocco.

I love freshly painted cars, especially an interior with a cage/roll bar.

Stalled on the project, due to having to build a deck, work, general laziness but new copper head gasket arrived last week. Need to button up motor, wet sand car, and move the suspension over. Which is kinda hard since I'm driving the Bumblebee around a little.

Fall/winter projects:

Secure fuel cell and run fuel lines
Mount race seats
Move suspension over
install motor/trans
Make windshield

If I can get all that done, I can run the motor up in the spring and tune it
