Thanks guys and gals, had the surgeons appt for 4 hours on Thursday. Looks like surgery is the best long term option. We're planning on cracking my chest open in the late fall/early winter. This way I'll recoperate in the cooler months.

Looks like I'll have plenty of time to work on racer X motor now... :)

Very sorry to hear this, Mike. Take it easy and good luck with the surgery later in the year. Let us know if there's anything you need.

Is this some kind of sympathetic reaction to hanging around too many Fiats?

Hey folks, just wanted everybody to know I had my open heart surgery this past Thursday and well, errr I survived!. Actually things look good and I will prollie be out of here Wednesday. A quick synapsis, I had to have a pig valve grafted in as mine was calcified way to much to repair. Two things the surgeon noted to me, "I can not believe you did not have more symptoms" and "You would've had heart failure much sooner then anybody expected" or something to that effect. The first 2 days were really fuzzy.
