Useful link for Mazda owners

Post by Dave_G »

There have been a bunch of new Miatae showing up in the club, and not all Mazda owners might know about the useful web site at Mazdaspeed Motorsports, so as a public service here it is:
http://www.mazdamotorsports.com/

At this site you will be able to purchase any Mazda dealer part at a substantial savings over what you'd pay at the dealer. The only requirement is that you must compete with your Mazda. You do NOT have to be professional racer. Amateur autocross hacks are welcome. You just need to show results from two events each year to show that you compete with your Mazda. Web-based autocross results are acceptable.

I buy most of my parts for both the Miata there.

Thanks for the reminder. I registered a while ago, but haven't yet had a need to buy anything for the Miata.

Another advantage is you get a pretty good deal on new Mazdas (employee pricing).

Did you receive a denial, or just no response? I called them when I sent my app in. They said they get thousands of emails and calling in is a good idea. They asked for my email address and then looked up my request. They are pretty helpful over the phone.

Just no response. No big deal, I haven't needed any OEM parts yet (other than water pump) ... I'll call em eventually. :3gears:

I have updated the original post to remove the part about the program being good for other, non-competition Mazdas in your garage. Either that part was wrong, or they have changed it, but the program is supposed to be for your competition Mazda only:
Stock Mazda parts must be purchased for your race vehicle only that you are supplying results for. Stock parts may not be purchased for another racer's vehicle, for your normal street-driven Mazda vehicle, or for resale under any circumstances.
And just as a reminder, autocross is an accepted form of competition, and the web-based results from SCCV autocrosses are accepted as race results.

I made extensive use of this program in getting new parts for my wrecked Miata, and saved a boatload of money.
