Not only will the owner of any California-registered car break the law by filling that car with race gas, the shop or supply store who sold them the fuel could also receive a hefty fine if caught.

I'm sure that will make a 0.0000001% improvement in the California Air Quality. What a waste of time for everyone involved. That being said, how many cars are using race gas anywhere other than the racetrack? If you want to ban it for onroad use (isn't it already?), fine, but on track, who cares if the car has a license plate or not?

that is why I'll never move to California, my dad used to live there back when catalytic converters first came out, he had to add one to his car and retard his timing by a lot so it wouldn't plug the cat, forgot what kind of car it was but it was a big V8 car that was suddenly barely able to reach 55mph
