Performance modifications increase MPG

Post by NY03SVT »

A very insightful and *gasp* scientific article about how mods actually increase fuel efficiency. Perfect for talking the significant other into that new performance part.

CAI, cat back exhaust and coilovers on the RSX bumped the MPG by about 5 mpg from stock. I now get around 35 - 36 mpg when I'm easy on it :| .

That's the key....
Adding mods, and driving like this :3gears: you'll most likely NOT see any mileage increases.

I averaged 40mpg in the CRX on a couple trips to shows. Now it's more like 24mpg lol.

I do get 35 consistently from the RSX.
