Go Karting Anyone?

Post by jcollins914 »

Hello SCCV,

I was recently approached by a friend in Boston who thought it might be swell to get some folks together for some Karting in the Boston area. I have long since heard about F1 Boston, but have never been. There are also a couple other tracks in the area (indoor & outdoor), that would be great to try. F1 Boston even has an endurance series that they do where there are scheduled 90 minute races, where you get a team of 2-3 drivers together and participate, (their karts). Boston being a 4hr trip w/out traffic, this would mean taking a day off, but I can think of worse reasons to take a day off.

The scheduled enduros are:
Monday June 17 at 6:30pm.
Monday, July 22nd at 6:30pm.
Monday August 19th at 6:30pm.

The cost would be $320/team with 2-3 drivers per team, i.e. $106.67 - $160 each, depending on your driving dilution choice.

I'd also be quite up for a non-enduro "let's just go on an ordinary day w/ a great group of people, and push some levers".

This post is mainly to gauge interest in these two options, and if folks have a preference between indoor (which has elevation changes and a tunnel) @ F1 Boston, outdoors at F1 outdoors, or indoors at

Wallingford, CT. (indoor):

F1-Boston, Braintree, MA - Just south of Boston (indoor):

F1-Outdoors, E. Bridgewater, MA - south of Braintree/Boston (outdoors):

I'd like to try any/all these facilities, so if there's a prevailing wind, I'll go w/ that, and then try the others at some future time.

I'll update this post w/ folks' interest as/if it is reported.

Thanks for sharing your interest,
Jeff
