I got word back on the pricing. Not all that happy
$500 for a one day event
$750 for a two day event.
August 5th is a no go
July 22 is a maybe.
$500 is a big number for one day. If we get caught with rain, we can be in tough shape.
If you charge a $10 premium, you'd need 50 entrants to pay the fee.
So its up to you guys/gals....let me know.

Check these dates if you could. I'll have to check with the club on pricing to see if we can swing it or not.

Hey coach,
I just heard back from Bob, it will be $500 for a one day event and $750 for the weekend.
Do you have any dates in mind that I can check on the FFL to make sure the lot is available?

Personally I think we should do August 19. There are several reason.
1. It's the furthest away, and gives us the most time to plan, and get the word out. 2. We can't do it at VTC anyway. 3. 50 cars is possible, if we plan properly...

If it is that far out, then let's make it a two day event. Insurance is fixed, the rental cost only goes up 50%, etc. Driving school on day one and autocross on day two (takes a lot of work for this, but it is laid back) or do another piston cup team event.

I like the 2-day final event at sugarbush idea.
I'm not sure about another team event.
I like the school idea (could be difficult to organize / staff / keep non school folks away (or happy)).
I also like the idea of a test and tune Saturday / competition Sunday. But getting people to work on Saturday and not just keep lining up to drive over and over might be tough. I haven't been to a real test and tune myself, so maybe there is some sort of standard for those that solves the worker problem.

Keep in mind the open dates listed are Sunday only. We'd have to verify that saturday is open.
Saturdays are a little more tough, as that is when weddings are typically in house.
If you want to do a two day event. Perhaps saturday could be a combined "test and tune" and a drivers school.
Sunday would be the regular autocross.
Run the test and tune/school like any other event, except no points are awarded. Allow passengers through the entire day for the "instruction".
Other things to think about.
Timing with two cars on course, can we do that yet? We can do one car....but two cars is kind of nice.
Also, cones were in short supply. Might want to see if we can scrounge up a few more.
