So it sounds like most people like the idea of
current paid members would get priority when there is a tie
and to break any tie we draw entries from a hat

Wasn't registration going to open a week sooner for memebers? That takes car of giving memebers priority.

Hmmm.... this would work quite well. We would still have a need for ranking, but it will take care of the member vs. non-member issue.

yes you are right, and thats the way it was done this time, and I think the last time. The only time we would have a tie breaker is when we have more than 20 member entries at once. This happened this time, we had 21, but I just added the 21st person in the one day slots. no big deal. but if we had more then there might have been a need for a hat drawing, but again its not going to happen very often.

So I dont think there is a real problem with the way it is currently set up. all agree?

yes spoke with Julie tonight while we were taking the celica race car apart. I already have the guy that filled the last sunday spot filling in on sat. so we are still full.
