Octoberfast

Post by sachilles »

Who has been to Octoberfast?
Wondering how many cars/people have gone to it in the past.
What kind of things go on at the show.
I think our sales department would like to try to get them to come here for next year, but want to make sure we have the space/facilities.

The first year, it was small... ~50 cars?

The second year, it was bigger... ~80-100 cars? Way smaller than the British Invasion, but I think that is the sort of event they want to become.

Along with the cars parked out for the show, there were a few dealership sponsered tents (Automaster, Rutland Motorcars I think, a few others). A seminar area for big-wigs to present stuff - so a tent with seating, electricity would be good for presentations I guess. I don't remember their being a big vendor presence like there is at the Invasion...

Also, the discussion last year was that for this year, the SCCV would put on an autocross for the BMW club during oktoberfast (I think they changed it to sommerfast, or was it the other way around?).
