VTC August 5

Post by brownMINI »

I just got off the phone with VTC security. They say there is still equipment in the parking lot right now, but that they will remind the construction crew, and the equipment will be out of the way for Sunday.

They did ask that we get someone down there this week to put flyers up to remind people not to park in the lot.

I can run some flyers down there if someone gets me something tonight. I will be down that way on Wednesday...

Do we have something already made up that we have used before? If so, where? If not, who's gonna make something up. I don't want to miss the opportunity to have someone who's already going past there put some notices up for us.

Okay, I take it the silence means nobody has anything already put together.

I see from the directions in the VTC threads that the lot is "Lot H". What are the names of the buildings near the parking lot? I couldn't find a map on the VTC website.

Here's what I've got:

Parking Lot H Closed
Sunday, August 5

The Sports Car Club of Vermont will be holding an event in Lot H on August 5 from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Please do not park in the lot / move your car from the lot before Sunday morning.

Nathan / Eric, can either of you still get something posted at VTC? If not, I guess I can head down there after work today.

I may be able to bring the trailer down on Fri/Sat and get a course laid out.

Nick,
Do we have the insurance for this one?

Eric,
How are we on registration ,tech, and insurance forms?

Paul Dudley just called me... said he was at VTC today and there is still some equipment on one side of the lot, but it looks like a course could still be squeezed in. He also said that administration folks said not to push too hard on the construction folks to clear the lot, as the construction folks were already pretty stressed to get the project done on time, which is not quite the same story as I got from security.

Paul is going to tell the admin folks that were are planning on being there on Sunday.

Apparently, the stuff in the lot is on the long side of the lot away from the buildings / timing line. It doesn't stick out any further than the dumpsters did that were there previously, but it uses up 2/3 to 3/4 of the length of the lot, while the dumpsters just used up one corner.

At least, that's how I understood Paul on the phone.

It might not be optimal, but it's what we've got.
