Talk about stuff NOT related to SCCV operations.

Sounds exciting.
Pay seems quite fair though.

I think the pay is pretty good. My personal goal is to get this position upgraded. It is currently a GS-9 to 11 (goes straight from 9 and then 11, there is no 10); I want it to go 9-11-12-13.

9 max is at $61k
11 max is $75k
12 max is $89k
13 max is $106k

Those are some great numbers, esp. for Vermont.

Regardless, the current position is GS 9-11 with no promises of anything else.

Shouldn't have a problem filling it. Hiring for entry level accounting types here has yielded a lot of over qualified folks. Combined with the pay, which as you noted is pretty generous for around here.
Makes me want to think about it. Just don't think it would be for me.....even though I'm an accountant by trade, it's the business type that attracts me to where I am now.
Though I should mention it to Bucky, this might be up his alley, not that he's looking.

I met a guy years ago who I think had that position. He lived in Vergennes and drove a MKIV Supra, but was the president of some G35 Club. Cool dude. Forget his name.

Didn't he end up with an STi for a little while? Put his car in the sccv performance car show. Drawing a blank on the name, but a real nice guy.

Looking at the position, it looks like we posted this as a Financial Program/Cost Analyst... this means that it is not an accountant (requires 24 hrs of accounting). It is in our Accounting section.
