Looking for diff cover for a Volvo 240
Anyone have a lead on a diff cover for a Volvo 240? The one on my son's car has rusted through and he needs a replacement. Unfortunately, none of the aftermarket ones have the fitting for the speedometer sensor. Replacement ones appear to be NLA -- even the dealer can't get them.

I'd try down in New Haven, VT there is a shop next to the country store, the guys father used to own a ton of 240's and restore them.
yea so a guy told me, "I bet I get laid twice as much as you," so I said, "Two times zero is still equal to zero," totally awesome.

Yeah, that's Packard's. I've had mixed experiences with them during the builds of two Volvo Lemons cars, but I'm planning to stop by there in the morning anyway and see if I can poke around back in their yard.Serrilion wrote:I'd try down in New Haven, VT there is a shop next to the country store, the guys father used to own a ton of 240's and restore them.
I figured I'd also give the Swedish Pit a call.

Try giving Charlie a call at six star motors in colchester. Bert-one doesn't have a spare?

I found one this morning at Packards.sachilles wrote:Try giving Charlie a call at six star motors in colchester. Bert-one doesn't have a spare?
Bert One has used up his spares. And the only one that had the speedo sensor in it (which was used from 1989-1993) was rusted through just like the one I'm replacing.
