?LAST? SCCV Ice Time Trial Series Event #6 - Malletts Bay 3/9/19

Post by Connordfc »

This could be one of our last events of this winter! Get in your ice time while you can.

Come join us on the ice for the 2019 SCCV Ice Time Trial (ITT) #6 on Saturday March 9th!

Location: Malletts Bay
Access: Public Boat Launch @ 982 W Lakeshore Drive - then straight out onto the ice a ways.

Parking: Parking will be on the lake in the paddock area we will have marked out. Please utilize this area and space yourself 20’ from other vehicles. Also, we want to minimize the traffic of on and off the lake, so please try to bring what you need for the day.

PLEASE use PRE-REGISTRATION to help streamline the event, as well as help keep all our and your fingers warm! Filling out paperwork in the middle of a frozen lake can be…underwhelming. Here is the link on Motorsportreg:

Registration will be available on site as long as event isn’t sold out.

Purchase your 2019 club membership for only $20 and save $10 on every entry fee for all of 2019! Must be a club member to count for overall points championships and awards:

Cost for event:
$30 for SCCV members
$40 for non members
+$10 for day-of registration

We have also clarified a “good faith” rule that has been established in our ITT guide but was absent in the actual ITT rules page – in addition to the 68” roofline rule, vehicles must also have a relatively low center-of-gravity, generally understood to mean no SUVs, trucks, etc. Contact SCCV if you are unsure if your vehicle qualifies, or has been modified to mitigate risk (i.e lowered, etc). The website has now been updated to reflect this clarification.

PIG mats are REQUIRED and this will be enforced!

PIG mats are super absorbent “paper towels” that are used to soak up automotive spills / leaks. You will be required to have 2 in your car in order to participate.

We will be selling them at events. $5 for 4 mats. Everyone should have 4, but we only require 2. You are welcome to buy elsewhere.

Schedule of the day:
Registration (9am-10am)
Tech Inspection (9am-10:15am)
Drivers meeting and Course fam run (10:15am – 10:45am)
Course runs (11am-4pm)
Post event drivers meeting (4pm-4:15pm)
