Agree. Alexandria Bay is closer in terms of travel time than Brockville, Ontario because there is no bridge and border to cross. Even though Brockville is across the river from Morristown, the nearest bridge and border crossing is in Ogdensburg (which makes for a very long U turn).

I am happy to announce our first track event of the racing season! The SCCV will host a time-trial track weekend at SLMP on Sep 27-28, 2014.

For those not familiar with SLMP, it is a ¾ mile road course built for shifter-cart racing. We have used it for many years as a time-trial track. You will get a ton of seat-time, and a guaranteed smile on your face…

There is free on-site camping and affordable lodging available fairly close. Most people arrive on Friday night to settle in for the weekend.

Event Entry Fees:
2 Day member: $125
2 Day non-member: $135
1 Day member: $65
1 Day non-member: $75

For drivers registered to drive on Saturday and/or Sunday, they may drive on Friday in a car that is approved for the SCCV event and with a helmet by paying the owner (cash only) per the following schedule:

Full day: $50 per driver
Noon-Dusk: $40 per driver
4:00-Dusk: $20 per driver

For open cars - A roll bar which extends above the driver's head (with helmet on) when seated in the driving position is REQUIRED. No exceptions! If you have any question about your car please contact one of SCCV board members. This is for YOUR safety!

If you are not familiar with the “Tire Rule,” please check out this link:

We will extend member registration rate to CMC, SCCNH and KSSC members.

There will be a maximum of 25 spots available, and a minimum of 16 to run the event. There are 22 openings for 2-day registration, and 3 openings each day for 1-Day registrations.

In the event we reach our cap of 22 two day drivers, an entrant may combine two 1-day entries to fill each of the remaining spots until we reach our cap of 25 entrants. In the event that we reach our cap, we will establish a waiting list.

Cancellation Policy: SCCV will refund entry fees minus a 5% processing fee prior to the cutoff date of Sep 24, 2014. No refunds will be issued after the cutoff date. If you register and cannot make the event, please plan accordingly! We determine whether to hold the event or not based on registration.

SLMP #2 sept 26th -28th

Can't wait to hit the track again, and enjoy some hot laps with friends

All people need to compete is a car that passes inspection, no loose parts, battery tied down, etc.
And a Snell M2000 or SA2000 or newer helmet.

Tire rule: cars weighting under 2500 lbs can run any tire (including race compounds), cars over 2500lbs have to run tires with tread wear rating of 80 or higher.

Hope to see you there!

Try seeing if there is a camp for rent on Black Lake. Makes family happy and is close to track.

Yes, a 100 pound difference is not a big deal, and no one is going to weigh you to find out anyways! So register up, and see you at slmp
