Oh, I don't know... would it involve maybe a trip to Colorado, oh, say, around July 19th?

Nick. Are the RE-01R and the RE-11 sitting on the same surface? If so, the RE-01R seem to be taller. I would have guessed it the other way around.. :D
The 01Rs are actually 235/45/17 and the RE 11s are 225/45/17. Those tires are stacked on a level floor. I was surprised to see how close they were in height. Considering that shows the total difference between 4 tires

Having driven up pikes peak, there is no way i'd ever do a hillclimb up it.
I'm up for just about any automotive event out there.

Pikes peak is exceptionally cool....but you are a long way up there, and if you go off course, you don't hit a tree. You fall hundreds of feet, THEN hit a rock or a tree. There are gentle rises and turns that in effect make the corners blind. You are so high up you can see the curvature of the earth.

....but I'd be happy to watch you do it.

Pike's Peak! Whoa, fantastic!

This calls for an honorary viewing of one of my favorite all-time motorsports films, the classic short Climb Dance documenting Ari Vatanen's blistering 1988 Pike's Peak run:

If you've seen it, it's worth seeing again. If you haven't seen it, you're in for a treat. :D

I'm told the Pike's Peak road is paved to the top now.

More Pike's Peak goodness.

2.0L Saab w/ProDrive AWD and 42psi of boost: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VCa3ws7jqCY

And the original AWD monster S1 quattro: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lmKoClm8cxw

Even if the road is fully paved, I'm sure it's still one scary drive!

That is one of my all time favorite videos. I never get sick of watching that.
