Ok I'll see if I can get some #'s & email addresses. :)

I do know of a sizeable freshly paved lot just maybe a mile from the base of the mountain ... :p

That would work also. If we can get the trailers out of Dodge, we will have a lot more space at the bottom of the hill. It just needs to be a safe place.

Here's the latest email I got, from a friend of my mom's (also on the Charlotte Land Trust) ... some contact info within.

"the guy who owns the land directly across from the park on the south side of the road is Peter Ross. His number at work is 212 206-0044 and his home number is 718 875-9718. Chuck Allmon owns the land to the north of State Park Rd. and his Charlotte number is 425-3639. He usually is here in August so you might reach him there. His home number in Maryland is 301 365-1531.

I think both of these guys would be very concerned about having their land all dug up since it has been so wet. I don't know what the land is like on the north side, but the south side has some drainage pipes in it. I know they usually cut that field for hay and I noticed the other day that it hasn't yet been cut..not sure what that is about. Since I know these cars are not four wheel drive, wouldn't you be concerned about getting them stuck in the field?"

The 'paved lot' I was referring to is Russ's driveway. :p But I just read, in the Volvo thread, that he'll be out of town for the event. :(

I should be around, and would be glad to help (probably just Sat/Sun). Do you need help beyond just corner workers?

I'll give Steve M or Karl a call to see if we can get another RPM Tour setup.

Unfortunately, I will not be in attendance this year as I have a wedding to attend.

About how much $ is it to run in this event? Are their places to set up a tent? Is their anything diffrent I need to do to get my car ready for a hillclimb vs SLMP? Thanks.

There are different prep standards, rules are on hillclimb.org.
The basics are that you need an SA rated helmet(M doesn't cut it) and you need an ABC fire extinguisher mounted with a metal bracket within reach of the driver.
Without a roll cage you are required to run a time longer than the break out time.
