The paint has been in the works for a few weeks and the car was finally back together Friday morning just in time to put it on the trailer - nothing like working on it at the last minute I owe a huge thanks to a bunch of people for helping me get the car back together in time for the event.
I really like how the colors turned out but I have to remember not to look at the paint too closely - it is definitely a 25' paint job .
Thanks to everyone for putting on another great event (even if it was a bit expensive for a few of us). Vicki and I had a great time driving the car, even when it was limping a bit.

So is Russbot Racing now an official shop?
Sorry I missed the event, had to buy a house instead!

I have no idea what Tom is up to - he will have to chime in on that one All I know is that we all have these stickers stuck to our windshields for some reason... . Racing stickers are worth something like 5HP each, right...gtivr4 wrote:So is Russbot Racing now an official shop?
Congrats on the house Nathan!

Russbot Racing is a shop in works right now. We are currently trying to figure out how to create, market, sell our track app and get more people interested in the world of motorsports. Also, we would like to see some more kit building in the near future. I am sure there is more to come later as we start finalizing information on it. The stickers are mostly cursed though, seeing as 2 of the 3 cars wearing stickers went down. The other one is still running (against all odds) and putting some decent times down for a Ponti-Crap Fiero.
Thanks everyone for a great weekend, even though it was a bit cold it was still an awesome time. 3 Women were lapping on sunday also which was pretty exciting.

The Z was a flood damaged car right? any chance that was a factor in the motor's death.
I like the orange Russ!

It's possible that the flood could have had something to do with the demise of the Z, but I'm not sure how likely that is. Until we start tearing into the bottom end all I know is that something in the rotating assembly failed spectacularly and blew out the bottom of the oil pan. You can actually look up into the motor and see either a rod or a main bearing, can't quite tell which it is.

Sounds like another exciting weekend in upstate N.Y. I think that's the first catastrophic engine fail that we've had there. I really hope I can make it out there next year.
I suddenly regretted not go to SLMP this time when I first read the line below..... Then I re-read it and realized my mind had inserted "dancing"....
