I'll be there! As will at least 1 friend, possibly 2 or 3. Can't wait!

Sounds good. Do I still get to wear the pink bunny suit?

I wasn't going to be able to make this event, but maybe I'll need to change my plans. :)

I'm in! (Even if I have to be there an hour earlier than for autox 2, lol.)

Have heard some interest from folks at work (modded G8, Shelby GT Mustang, WRX, S70 T5) -- seeing if I can talk any into making the trip to Devil's Bowl on Saturday.

And as for a 360 turn, only do it if you want to see me make the first 5 point turn in autocross history! I think my turning radius was 36 feet before lowering.

The more the merrier Mark!

I'm in the same boat (literally). The Queen Mary might have a tighter turning radius. And my e-brake only sort of slows the car down.

pdudley42 wrote:We designed the course last night. Highlights to include a front-straight slalom entered from different sides on each lap, and a 360 on the back straight (clockwise first lap, counter-clockwise second lap). We need to know if we can do a 360 or not and the only way to find out is to try it during course setup.
Sorry Joey, no rodeo turn. But I hope you come anyway.
Paul, after the overall response on the 360 turn...is there still a plan to have a 360 on the back straight?

Yup, but only if it works. I'd like to borrow a larger/front-driverer car from someone to test the course during setup (volunteers?). I recognize that this is an unpopular concept and that it just might not work, but we've got to know. Devil's Bowl is an awesome venue, but we'll run out of unique courses real quick if we can't loop back or change directions. With this weekend's cold weather and subsequent low grip, this event will be as much of a novelty as anything outside of VTC. In other words, this is the best time to test the theory.
This should not deter newbees from giving it a whirl, as the 360 will be in the safest part of the track, and the rest of the course will kick donkey.
