October Autox @ Devil's Bowl?

Post by Art Lyle »

What will it take to make this happen? Is there some minimum number of people that need to commit with a payment through Motorsportreg? If we don't get enough people to pay for the full cost, maybe we could ask the Devil's Bowl owner for a discount. They might accept considering that the alternative is zero income.

I'm asking because I had a lot of fun yesterday and don't want to wait until spring next year to do it again.

What dates work best for folks. It was my understanding that the track schedule opened up for the month of October. the weekend of the 16,17 is out. That is the Philo hillclimb.

I'm all in...

Track costs aside, I'm also pre-committed to assist those folks who always are working quietly behind the scenes to make these events in any way I can.

My October is free as of now!

My preference is as early in the month as possible.

Any time in October. I would love to get one more Devils bowl in before the car comes apart for the winter.

Keep the feedback coming! With low turnouts for the last two events, we need commitments from as many people as possible in order to assure October's autocross. Everyone who showed up at the September event did a great job pulling together to make it run smoothly. Remember, you can always enter twice!!! On occasion, I enter the same car twice; sometimes it is sensible to enter a buddy's car as well as your own and vice versa. That gets you massive seat time and keeps your tires warm between runs!

What about a fall T-Road event as a taste of future events?

We aren't even "in" there. So that isn't even a consideration yet.

Wait... does this mean if we enter twice we can double our number of runs? For honest?

I am down for the 1st or the 8th anything after that interferes with my hunting schedule.

Hrm twice the seat time? This concept does seem like it is cheating somehow, but I'd consider it! Half my runs with an instructor half my runs for time... could be an epic day.
