If you end up in the Mad River Valley, I'd give the Sugarbush Day School my highest recommendation. My son Andrew is 3, and he's learned sooooo much there, they have taken care of him since he was a newborn.
Paul(pdudley), a dual miata owner also works there, though he is a recent addition. You can be sure your child will get an automotive education while there. They really do a fantastic job. They taught my son sign language before he could speak. They introduce them to skiing and snowboarding, as well as the other mountain activities. They are also open on weekends during the winter months as they are part of the resort.
Several other parents of young children in the club and a few expecting, so there are plenty of kid connections.

....oh, and rocky ridge race track is in central vermont. It is a go-kart track, and their group is a great bunch of people. I believe you can have your kids in a go-kart at age 4 there, maybe 5. http://www.vtshifterkarts.com/

I'm looking forward to trying the Hillclimb racing, the closest I've gotten to that was running some mountain roads up and around the Blue Ridge Parkway.

unfortunately because of Vermonts ungodly high car tax/registration whatever you wanna call it (6% of the NADA value) I won't be bringing this up with me immediatly, gonna store it at my moms place.


in VA the tax is determined soley by the age of the vehicle currently I pay zero taxes on the Porsche and about 8bux for the Miata.
The NADA value for the 30 year old Porsche is around $28K

Did you pay a tax on it when you originally bought it? VT will credit any past tax paid even in another state.
The tax at registration is a one time fee. You are then responsible for a flat fee registration yearly after that.
If the vehicle was a gift, let's say from your mom, it is exempt from tax. The downside is you won't be able to claim a tax credit on it down the road should you choose to sell it.

I bought the Porsche about 2 years ago for $7K off of Craigslist, the tax I paid around $120, I'll have to what records I can find and maybe print off from the VDOT records.
This will make my wife much happier as well.

The DMV is actually pretty decent up here if you go to the montpelier branch. Be polite and nice, and they will bend over backwards to help you. Also go mid-morning when they are slow.

Russ, built a ff5 cobra kit, he can speak to that.
