In the near future, I'll be selling my Matrix. I recently upgraded to something with towing capability and I can't justify keeping it so it has to go. The car is in really nice shape and I would prefer it go to an enthusiast who will appreciate it. I bought the car in North Carolina and it has only been through 2 winters so it is extremely rust free. Anyone serious about it is welcome to come by to look at it.
It is an '04 XRS model with about 140k on it and is one of only 3 years where the car was offered with the 2ZZ motor and a 6 speed transmission. I've put a new ACT clutch in it as well as Hawk HPS pads all around.
I'll be selling it with two sets of wheels with tires. The OE wheels have RS3's on them with about 1/2 the treadlife left in them. I will also sell it with a set of aftermarket alloy wheels that have Winterforce studded snow tires with about 3/4 treadlife.
The car is a nice mix of fun to drive while still being very practical. It runs great and has been very reliable.
I'm asking $6500 and am fairly firm. I think with the upgrades, maintenance and condition of the car, that is a fair price for it. If anyone is seriously interested, let me know.
