Sports Car Club of Vermont

In the past, we've discussed moving the location of the monthly meetings. With members scattered around the state, having all our meetings in Burlington is less than convenient for many.

Last night we had the Belated 2013 Awards Banquet/2014 Kick-Off Banquet at the Localfolk Smokehouse in Waitsfield. It appeared that all those in attendance had a good time and enjoyed the food and beverages. The concept of alternating monthly meetings between Zachery's in Burlington and the Localfolk Smokehouse came up.

I'm clearly biased since I live 8 miles away from the Smokehouse, but several members expressed interest in the concept. It might be a nice change of pace, and may attract some members that live further south.

The food is good, and the beer selection is vastly superior! Tuesday nights are typically pretty slow, and the owner John would likely be happy to block off some tables for us.

So I'm just putting the ideal out there: Discuss!

I endorse this idea.

I'd be fine with rotating back and forth between the two locations. I'm about equidistant from both.

Seems like a good idea. At least try it and see what happens.
